History[edit | edit source]
In 2005, Axial started as an RC cars body, engine and accessories manufacturer. The Axial engine line was the first success of the company which then focused on developing its engine and engine accessories products range. In 2006, Axial helped Robitronic get established in the United States. At the same time, Axial started working on its own RC car and in 2007 released their first kit, the AX10 Scorpion, a 1/10th scale Rock Crawler.
Hobbico acquired Axial in 2012, 7 years after its begining and when Hobbico filed for bankruptcy in 2018, Axial was acquired by Horizon Hobby along with other Hobbico brands such as Dboots and Arrma.
